Albert Lanterman (1856-1937)
  Albert Lanterman was born on October 31, 1856 in Blairstown, New Jersey where he gre to manhod and received his education.  He was married to Maria Rosencrans, in 1882.  One son, Everett, being born to the union.

With his brother, W.A. Lanterman, Albert came to Dakota Territory in 1881, the brothers locating in Hillsboro.  In 1883, W. A. Lanterman cam to Mandan and was joined by his brother in 1884 after disposing of their interests in Hillsboro.

Here they were engaged in a varied line of business interests, including lumber and machinery, grain buying and banking.

  October 1919 Albert Lanterman and his son, Everett R. Lanterman, miraculously escaped death through the overturning of their automobile.
